Personnel Attendance & Shift Management
An attendance and shift management solution that brings personnel records, work schedules, and device events into one operational flow.

What this role enables
- 01
Review attendance and exceptions by department
- 02
Manage shift, leave and personnel records
- 03
Assign user roles and department scope
- 04
Review and export the selected reporting period
Institutional context
Collecting entry and exit times was not enough for day-to-day people operations. Shift plans, leave types, overnight work, organizational units, and events from different devices had to be evaluated through the same set of rules.
My contribution
- Connected personnel, shifts and device events through a shared evaluation model.
- Developed date-range, overnight-shift and exception rules.
- Built operational screens, access scopes and report exports.
Problem
Disconnected personnel lists and raw device logs produced conflicting interpretations. Managers had to perform manual checks to identify exceptions and create reliable reports.
Constraints
- Correct evaluation of variable and overnight shifts
- Safe handling of differences between device and server time
- Preserving unit and role boundaries across every layer, including reports
- Maintaining existing spreadsheet and operational habits in a controlled way
- 01Device event
- 02Normalization
- 03Shift and leave evaluation
- 04Operational report
Approach
A unified evaluation model was established for personnel, shifts, leave, and device events. Raw events remain unchanged, while every calculated result stays traceable to the rule and data source that produced it.
Solution built
Role-based personnel administration, shift assignments, leave workflows, device synchronization, late-arrival and missing-event checks, and period reports were combined in one application. A daily workspace surfaces exceptions for operators.
For management
- Review attendance and exceptions by department
- Manage shift, leave and personnel records
- Assign user roles and department scope
- Review and export the selected reporting period
Institutional impact
Personnel assessments follow shared rules. Managers can trace calculated outcomes back to raw events, making operational reporting more consistent and explainable.
Technical scope
- Role and unit-based authorization
- Shift and leave rule engine
- Device data synchronization
- Overnight shift evaluation
- Spreadsheet and operational reports
- Audit and change history
